Jumping Into Learning

Growth doesn’t just happen behind a desk. It happens on the playground, in group circles, and on the jump rope line. Just ask Carrigan, a bright and determined young student who first joined us as a kindergartner and is now about to start 3rd grade!

Back then, jumping rope was a challenge, and she couldn’t quite get the timing down. But with patience, encouragement, and a lot of practice, Carrigan made incredible progress. By the third jump rope session, she was proudly counting to 30 on her own, and by July, she had mastered jumping with a rope turned by someone else, reaching an impressive 75 jumps. Now, she’s working on double dutch!
In the classroom, she’s blossomed into a more confident and curious learner. “Carrigan asks great questions and doesn’t give up when something is hard,” says her teacher. “She’s becoming a leader in the group and is always the first to help a classmate who needs encouragement.” Carrigan herself beams with pride when talking about how far she’s come: “I can jump rope now, tie my shoes, and I’m learning to read big words. I feel big and smart!” It’s the kind of progress that happens when kids are supported in every area of their development—academically, emotionally, and physically.
Her mom, watching these changes unfold, couldn’t be more thrilled. “To see Carrigan go from being nervous to try things to being the first one to jump in line or raise her hand—it’s just amazing,” she shares. “She’s stronger, more confident, and she’s so proud of what she’s learning. We are so thankful for everything Grade A Plus is pouring into her.”
Carrigan’s story is a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when children are given time and space to grow—and people who believe in their potential every step of the way.
