STUDENT/FAMILY APPLICATION
As many institutions of higher education reside in Columbia, MO, Grade A Plus, Inc. believes that supporting the endeavors of emerging adults is a critical component in building community. Students and community members can build skills as academic support and enrichment leaders, work with the Board of Directors to develop strategic and social marketing plans, collect and analyze data and support grant, family and community development programs.

Graduate &Undergraduate students as well as Community volunteers interested in supporting academic tutoring, enrichment or mentoring may apply to join the 2023-2024 team!
Contract Tutors begin in Fall '23 as a new level of support to help combat "learning loss". CT's are compensated for the time they invest in supporting students through tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment contact.

Grade A Plus, Inc. serves as a host site for college students enrolled in Field Experience and Service Learning courses at the University of Missouri- Columbia in a variety of fields. Those students can return for a mutiple number of semesters to serve as HERO leaders enabling them to gain additional opportunities for leadership and service.

GAP believes that to build a strong community children need a variety of experiences with people of various ages and backgrounds. Thus a strong enrichment component includes volunteers representing various aspects of learning that requires volunteers beyond the classroom setting to help provide those experiences.
​
Tutors are expected to support learning in either a virtual or on-site setting, be willing to work in 1:1 or 1:4 ratios with students, and bring a level of expertise in Math, Reading, Writing, or Science. Enrichment leaders can also provide specialty instruction in art, robtics, music, dance, basketball and more.

Family enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year is now open and rolling throughout the year for the Academic Support and Enrichment Program. Families interested in enrolling their child(ren) must complete the application form found below.
